Cougars Capture Regional Silver Stick Championship


Cobourg (Special) - The Cobourg Cougars Minor Bantam 'A' left 11 teams growling as they steamrolled through the Silver Stick tournament with 5 straight wins to capture the regional championship. The best of the best from all 4 corners of South Eastern Ontario came to Cobourg for the tournament held December 2nd thru 4th, 2011 at the new Cobourg Community Centre. From great goaltending, to solid defence, and relentless forwards, the entire squad played as a well oiled team. The team will now prepare for the international finals in Newmarket Jan 12th thru 14th.
